To the Congregation of Wabash Christian Church,

We have been through a difficult year navigating a global pandemic that has caused suffering, isolation, economic hardship, and the deaths of loved ones totaling almost 600,000. It has been a strain on our personal lives and our communities as we navigate a health crises unlike any other. The church leadership has been in multiple conversations regarding the health and safety of the congregation and felt a need to address the congregation given our current circumstances and the most recent update from the CDC. It has been decided that those who have been fully vaccinated will no longer be required to wear masks at the church given the most recent CDC guidelines as well as Wabash County currently being in the Blue meaning minimal spread is occurring. In addition to this, we are requiring those who have not had the opportunity to be vaccinated to continue wearing masks for the health and safety of yourself as well as other members of the church. We plan to implement this new policy starting June 6th.

As a church, we trust our members to be followers of Christ, loving thy neighbor, holding a life in truth and honesty, and protecting the health and safety of our members with our youth being a large priority who have not had the opportunity to be vaccinated yet per state rollout implementation. We understand that there are some who may not feel comfortable returning and want to affirm your feelings of concern. We would like to anticipate that attendance will still not be at full return with members continuing to watch our livestream in the safety of their homes and will still be aiming for September 12 for a full reopening. We appreciate the love, grace, patience, and support of the congregation as we continue to navigate these difficult times and trust that our love for one another and faith in God will bring us to the end of this pandemic.

Blessings,
